Nintendo Network Announced

Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Network during an investor call, today. The network will act as a PSN-like service allowing players to play online against one another, as well as form communities, and even eventually download DLC and full retail titles on the 3DS and Wii U eShops.
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy will be the first title to support the Nintendo Network when it releases in Japan on February 16th, by offering premium paid DLC in the near future. Further plans have yet to be revealed for the service, though I’m sure we’ll know all about it by the time the Wii U is released later this year.
