Konami has released a new trailer featuring gameplay footage from the upcoming Silent Hill: Downpour. The eight title in the franchise follows Murphy Pendleton, an escaped convict lost in the demented town.
The more I see of Downpour, the more excited I get. It looks to be a classic return to the suspense and terror, that Silent Hill is most known for.
Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games have revealed the costumes that will be available with Japan’s “Rated Z” Premium Edition. The regular edition of the game has been rated “D” by Japan’s Ratings Board, after it censored much of the violence and sex, however the Premium Edition will remain “Rated Z” and retain all the crazy stuff we’ll be seeing here in the west.
The costumes will be console specific. PlayStation 3 players will receive the Waitress costume, and Xbox 360 players will receive the Rider Suit. Hit the jump to view the first images of the costumes in action.
Valve has revealed a brand new item for the Scout in Team Fortress 2, today. The item in question? A sick-ass boom box that plays all the jams. The best way to describe the item? Well, Valve has already done that:
Most people only know LL Cool J as a rapper, actor, fashion designer, record producer, and author. Now, though, you can add “spooky-ass Nostradamus” to that list, because we’ve just released a misc slot item for the Scout called “The Boston Boom Bringer” that pretty much exactly matches the lyrics LL penned almost thirty years ago. Is it a radio? Yes! Is it “bad”? Yes! When you taunt while it’s equipped, will it play music to terrorize your neighbors and scare suckas? Yes! Are you a hip-hop gangster named Todd? That’s gonna vary from person to person, obviously, but it’s not totally out of the question! The point is, there’s probably an LL Cool J song that predicts your death. The secondary point is everything we just said about the sweet new boom box item.
The item is available now for $9.99.
BioWare has kindly shown us a new trailer spotlighting the fan-favorite female Commander Shepard. The trailer includes a lot of new gameplay footage, as well as a bit we’ve already seen. Though, it might as well be all new considering this is our first look at FemShep in Mass Effect 3.
Mass Effect 3 hits for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 6th.
WB Games and Kadokawa Games have revealed the latest character trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw. This one puts the spotlight on Nick Carlyle, the super-jock turned decapitated talking head, whom is madly in love with Juliet Starling. The trailer shows why Nick is bodyless, and a few of the moves that you’ll be able to utilize him with.
Every time they show something new for Lollipop Chainsaw, I get more and more excited. The game looks like it’s going to be just absolutely ridiculous. And I love it.
The internet has been rampant all day after Markus “Notch” Persson, creator of the wildly successful Minecraft, publicly stated that he would fund a Psychonauts 2. Psychonauts was the witty psychic-obsessed character driven game created by Tim Schafer, of Brutal Legend fame.
News that this could possibly happen is actually pretty crazy, and I would love to see a team-up of this magnitude come to fruition. It’s nice to see successful designers help each other out in times of need, and want.
Ubisoft has released a new trailer for their action/adventure survival title, I Am Alive. The game focuses on primarily surviving a post-apocalyptic world utilizing skills that you would in an actual survival situation, such as stockpiling necessities, and climbing. A lot of climbing.
This game is looking incredible, and I’m wicked excited to finally play it when it releases this summer in the Xbox Live Arcade House Party, and on the PlayStation Network.
